Team Note: The Warriors don t want to send Kumingga away at a low price, but they want to retain their assets to compete for Antetokounmpo

According to Warriors reporter Tim Kawakami, the Warriors do not want to trade Kumingga at a low price to retain their assets and compete for Antetokounmpo in the future.

Kawakami said: "Like other savvy teams, the Warriors are working hard to keep every asset they have, so they can be ready when Antetokounmpo applies for a deal. If you want to trade around a potential star, you can send him a team with a poor strength and give them hope for rebuilding. If the Bucks need it, the Warriors can renew their contract with Kumingga this summer, and they can get their needs."

"But that doesn't mean the Warriors think Antetokounmpo will definitely leave the Bucks, or the Bay Area will be Antetokounmpo's preferred destination, but who knows these things? Maybe Antetokounmpo will never leave Milwaukee, or he wants to join forces with players other than Curry. But the possibility of his departure exists. He may tell the Bucks to send him to the Warriors, and then it depends on whether the Warriors can meet the Bucks' asking price." Kawakami added.

"Of course, the Warriors are not the only team in the league to consider this. If the Bucks start the Antetokounmpo deal, the Warriors are not the team with the most assets, but the Warriors must be prepared. For example, reaching a contract renewal with Kumingga and giving him a three-year contract of $22-25 million per year will become a very important step in this assumption process." He concluded.
