No! Simmons publicly refutes the rumor! The 29-year-old No. 1 pick is wandering in the free market

"Brother, are you retired?"

"No."

Yes, Simmons officially denied the retirement rumors, but the NBA gate seems to have been closed to him. Previously, the American Sidery reported that no team is willing to provide him with a contract. It is worth mentioning that Simmons has parted ways with his agent Bernie Lee and is now his agent.

It is reported that after learning that Simmons was not interested in any proposal (including rejecting the Knicks' basic salary contract), Bernie Lee officially notified the NBA players' union to break up with the former.

29-year-old Simmons is a 16th No. 1 pick and a ball-handling forward with a height of 2.08 meters. He has averaged 13.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.5 stops in the regular season so far in his NBA career, and averaging 12.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.2 stops in the playoffs. His total salary is as high as US$203 million.

Since Simmons has not yet retired and is unwilling to return to the NBA to play, in order to continue his career, he or she will either bring his talent to the Australian local league NBL, or other overseas leagues such as the CBA.

To be honest, Simmons now loses all his offensive skills and self-confidence, and his scarred physical condition is followed by poor attendance. There may not be any CBA team willing to sign him. After all, our requirement for small foreign players is to be able to take on big bags and score crazy points at all times...
