James: When I was a kid, I was inspired by the stars to watch football. I fell in love with the competitive nature of basketball.

June 1, June 1, today, Lakers forward James' podcast program "The Brain of the Field" aired in the ninth episode of the second season, with James, Doncic and host Nash talking about many topics.

Recalling the process of falling in love with basketball when I was a child, James said: "I don't know the specific moment, but I can see basketball games. I saw some of the greatest players playing games, and I was inspired by them, such as Jordan, 'Penny' Hardaway, Grant Hill and so on. Their sneakers inspired me, and the advertisements they did that year inspired me.

" Then I went out and I was the kid who wanted to try everything. We were playing hide and seek, we were playing football, baseball, basketball, everything, and kicking games, which were very popular in our community. Just run around and play, try to consume energy, and play until the street lights on the street are on before it is time to go home. I just want to play with everything.

"I think then it's when I get into the junior league and start playing competitive games, I just love the competitive nature of basketball. On the court 5-on-5, we fight for something, too. We play to see who gets the highest score and write to win the game. That goes to, oh, if we win most games, we can win something. We win the championship, we can go to the banquet, we can get medals and little trophies. Those things motivate me. Because I've seen NBA and college players lift trophies at the end of the season and whatnot. I think that's very inspiring. As kids, you're always motivated by people who are already doing that. So, it's a big moment for me."
