DLLS Sports reporter Tim Cato reported that a team source talked about an internal document that former Mavericks general manager Nick Harrison believed that Jrue Holiday and Nikola Jokic were players of the same level.

Holiday helped the Bucks and Celtics win championships. Jokic is a three-time regular season MVP and won the Finals MVP in 2023. Holiday has performed well with the Trail Blazers this season, averaging 17 points, 8.1 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. But Jokic is undoubtedly on another level: he averaged 26.2 points, 13.2 rebounds, 11.4 assists, 1.9 steals per game, and shot 66.9% from the field. His true shooting percentage is a terrifying 74.8%, which is a full 20 percentage points higher than Holiday.

In addition, Harrison also tried to pursue Kyle Kuzma with two first-round picks. Multiple league sources said there were questions from the beginning about Harrison's ability to do the job of rebuilding the franchise.
