The transfer market is still under observation, Barcelona is preparing to let the star player go again

4:53pm, 1 August 2025Football

Barcelona is entering a critical stage in the summer transfer market and maintains its highest vigilance. Although several players have been let go in recent weeks, management predicts a decisive moment in the last 15 days of the transfer window. The club side expects that some players may choose to leave after understanding their role assignments in the next season. This has become more likely to happen with fierce competition from young talents from La Masia's youth training camp.

In this dynamic, players who feel the threat of their positions may choose to look for other opportunities. Barcelona also does not deny that it may further let some players go while keeping the club's revenue and expenditure balance.

Some players have left, but the door is still open.

As of now, Barcelona has terminated contracts with six players. Four of them were permanently sold, namely Alex Barrel who joined Como, Clement Lenglet who transferred to Atletico Madrid, Pablo Torre who transferred to Real Mallorca, and Paul Victor who joined Braga.

On the other hand, the remaining two players left on loan: young goalkeeper Andre Astraga was loaned to Granada, while Ansu Fati started his career in Monaco. This series of decisions reflects the club's determination to optimize the lineup.

Nevertheless, there are no clear signs that other major players will leave. However, it is not certain that this will continue until the transfer window is closed.

Potential players who may leave Camp Nou

World Sports reported that some players may consider transfer options at the final stage of the transfer window. The list of players who are speculated to be likely to transfer includes Robert Lewandowski, Ronald Araujo, Mark Casado and Fermin Lopez.

Although this is only a phase of speculation, the departure of one of the characters will have a significant impact, both technically and financially. Clubs that are still dealing with economic challenges have the potential to obtain fresh funds through high-value transfers.

Therefore, Barcelona is preparing for everything that may happen in the transfer window for the next 15 days. Pre-season role allocation will become a key factor in future player transfers.
