Hupu September 5th According to the Mirror, four of Manchester United's contracts are about to enter their final year, including first-team important players Maguire and Casemiro. Judging from the current situation, the two are very likely to leave the team as free next summer, which also means that the new coach Amorin and Manchester United club senior management will have to make major decisions on their future.

The four players whose contracts are about to expire are center back Maguire, defensive midfielder Casemiro, left-back Maracia and substitute goalkeeper Tom Heaton. Among them, Maguire's stay or leave issue has attracted particular attention from the outside world.

Maguire transferred from Leicester City to Manchester United in the summer of 2019 for a high price of £80 million, when the two sides signed a long-term contract in the form of "6+1". In January this year, Manchester United chose to activate the renewal option in the contract, extending his contract to the summer of 2026. Although Maguire himself has publicly expressed his willingness to continue playing for Manchester United, the club has not reached an agreement with the 32-year-old England central defender on further contract renewal.

On the other hand, Brazilian international Casemiro, 33, is also very likely to leave Old Trafford after the end of this season. He joined Manchester United from Real Madrid for £60 million in the summer window in 2022, when the contract also included an optional renewal until 2027, but the club has not yet implemented the option.

The Mirror specifically pointed out that Maguire and Casemiro's total weekly salary is as high as £565,000, so Manchester United's management is facing a dilemma: whether to provide a new contract to retain experienced but older key players, or to accept the reality that they leave the team for free next summer, thereby freeing up high salary space for reconstruction. This decision will have a profound impact on the team's future salary structure and signing strategy.
