According to multiple Spanish media, citing sources close to Real Madrid Club, the team's midfielder, England international Jude Bellingham, will undergo shoulder surgery after the end of this season. The 21-year-old talented midfielder has been suffering from shoulder injuries for the past 18 months.

Bellingham's long-term battle with injuries

Bellingham's shoulder injury can be traced back to November 2023. After being injured in Real Madrid's game against Alaves, he accidentally fell in a subsequent game against Vallecano, causing a shoulder dislocation. He has been affected by this injury since then.

Despite this, Bellingham chose to postpone the surgery and insisted on wearing fixed straps to continue the game, avoiding early reimbursement of the season. This spirit of "slight injury but not falling off the front line" won the respect of fans, but also failed to completely recover from his injuries.

Bellingham and the medical team finally reached an agreement to take surgery this summer to ensure long-term career health. This marks that the Real Madrid star will temporarily bid farewell to the arena and enter a recovery period.

may miss the Club World Cup, and Real Madrid faces challenges

Berlingham's surgery schedule may make him miss the upcoming FIFA World Cup, which will start next month. As the Champions League champion last season, Real Madrid will face Saudi team Riyadh Crescent, Austria's Salzburg and Mexico's Pachuca in this tournament.

If Bellingham cannot make a comeback in time, this will be a major loss for Real Madrid in important events in the new season. Since joining the Bernabeu, Bellingham has quickly become an indispensable member of the team's midfield, and his comprehensive technical ability and offensive creativity are regarded as key pieces in Ancelotti's tactical system.

At the beginning of this season, Bellingham also missed four games between August and September due to muscle problems in his right leg. Although his performance is still positive on the court, his condition has declined significantly recently, which has aroused criticism from some Real Madrid fans.

Now, with the determination of the surgical plan, Bellingham will enter a significant recovery period. For the players themselves, this is a physical challenge that must be faced; for Real Madrid, they need to adjust the depth of the lineup in the short term, especially in the case of intensive schedules and multi-line combat.
