J. Garcia: I have feelings for Espanyol, but this does not conflict with my search for a better team

November 12th: Barcelona goalkeeper Juan Garcia is expected to return from injury after the national team match. This week he accepted an interview with RAC1.

Joan Garcia moved to Barcelona from Espanyol this summer and immediately became Barcelona's main goalkeeper. However, Juan Garcia was injured and underwent surgery on the medial meniscus of his left knee. Now he has begun to resume training and will return to the game after the national team game.

In the La Liga on January 3 next year, Barcelona will challenge Espanyol away from home, and Juan Garcia will face his old club. Juan Garcia first said: "It will be a different situation. I will put on another jersey and I am aware of what may happen. But I will go there and play like any other away game, try my best to perform the best and try to win."

After helping Espanyol avoid relegation last season, Juan Garcia kissed the Espanyol emblem on his jersey to celebrate. He continued: "I did it because at that moment I felt this way. I spent many years at Espanyol, experienced a lot of pain and had a lot of joy. Last season was difficult and we were not sure about relegation until the last round. So these are natural reactions after relegation. I was full of emotions there. I have lost feelings and experienced a lot of pain. These are natural emotions. There is no conflict between the two. My feelings for the Spaniard and my search for better opportunities for my career are compatible."

Barcelona's recent state has declined, and Juan Garcia hopes that this league break can help Barca return to its best form. "We know it's going to be a difficult season, but we're going to try to win every game and not think about anything else. We've had some games before that weren't quite what we expected, but we want to turn that around. We'll have discussions and see where we can improve. I see the whole team is focused."
