August 25th Crystal Palace defender Gee accepted an exclusive interview with the BBC, reviewed his football career, and talked about how he got to the right place.

What does football mean to you?

Football is a very important part of my life. It has been with me for a long time. It is of great significance. It allows me to do what I love every day, support my family, and make friends.

What is your earliest memory of football?

I often play football in the park with my friends, wearing the Cray Wanderers (one of the oldest existing football clubs certified by the Guinness World Records), and these memories have been kept in my mind and treasured by me.

Talking about career turning points

Loaning Swansea, coming to such an amazing club from Chelsea youth training, made me feel at home from the beginning. Although I didn’t play from the beginning, I had to sit on the bench first, and sometimes I couldn’t go out with the team and experience the difficult side of football, but I wouldn’t say that this made me wake up, but it really made me realize my position. This experience helped me better understand the world of football.

Who is the person who has the greatest impact on your career?

First of all, I want to thank God, who has been by my side to help me. Of course, there are also my parents who have paid a lot, and even if they are financially struggling, they make sure I can have a meal. My father always drives me to train, despite the tight gas money. My mother has always been very concerned about my situation, and they have been supporting me from the beginning.

Escape from the daily life of football, what do you like to do?

I like to listen to music and learn all kinds of different things, whether it is learning to learn DJ or reading various books. I also like to go to the cinema to watch movies because almost no one goes to the cinema, so I have a good time playing alone in the cinema…and also have popcorn! I have been playing drums in church and school for a long time, and although I don’t have a set of drums until now, I really want to play drums as a great way to enjoy music and escape from reality. My favorite book? Ray Bradbury's "Fat 451" and his favorite movie is Bradley Cooper's "Never End".

Are you an extrovert?

Yes, I don't have many friends, all of my friends are either in different countries or live in Manchester City or Liverpool, so it's not easy to get in touch.

How would your good friend describe you?

Childish.

How would you describe yourself?

still has a long way to go.

Talking about the most memorable game in your career

FA Cup final? No no, not to me, that's not even particularly great, I think it's more important to the clubs and the fans, and I'm very happy for them. But for me, I don't think I have a game like this, it will come at some point in my career, but not now.

By far, what is your most proud of in your career?

That's what I've been sticking to, I'm very strict with myself, I like it, it keeps me alert, keeps me down to earth, stays focused and desires to improve. Just because I have been persisting, not because of any voice from the outside world, but because of the pressure I put on myself. I'm almost fighting myself and sticking with it, which is a good thing.

Say something that might surprise us...

I really want to be a WWE wrestler, I grew up watching WWE, and although it may be dangerous, I really like the part of it performing... I have a good eloquence in front of the microphone...it can make people believe you are a villain or a decent person.

If we can achieve another goal in our career, what would it be?

I hope to play until I am 40. Of course, winning trophies is great, and participating in different games is great, but I think being able to play until that age is a real proof of a professional player's strength. Obviously, injury is inevitable and unfortunate, I hope God bless me to kick for so long.
