June 27th, New York Red Bull is discussing with Leipzig about signing German striker Werner. Sources told GIVEMESPORT that the parties are working to facilitate the deal, but there is no conclusion yet.

Red Bulls have a designated player vacancies, which will help with possible transfers. Werner has always been the long-term focus of Red Bull in New York. If the deal is successful, Werner will reunite with former Leipzig teammate Emil Forsbery. Werner has been loaned to Tottenham Hotspurs over the past 18 months, but his playing time has gradually decreased as the season progresses. His best time was in Leipzig, helping the team win multiple trophies and reach the Champions League.

Currently, the core of the Red Bulls' offensive are Forsberg and Schubomotin. Werner's addition is a huge addition to New York Red Bull. The New York Red Bulls currently ranks 7th in the Eastern Conference with 28 points. The summer transfer window of the MEF will open on July 24.
