Echo: 47 people injured in a parade, Liverpool cancels multiple celebrations

May 27 According to the Liverpool Echo, 47 people were injured in the championship parade, Liverpool canceled the celebration.

Liverpool decided to postpone a series of celebrations scheduled for Tuesday after a serious accident occurred during Monday's championship parade. It is reported that the accident occurred on Water Street, and a car rushed into the crowd celebrating the Reds' record and won the 20th Premier League championship, causing 47 people to be injured.

It is understood that 27 of them were taken to the hospital, and two people, including one child, were seriously injured. Police have arrested a 53-year-old white man from Liverpool area. Several divisions of the Liverpool Club were scheduled to host internal events on Tuesday to celebrate the team's achievements in their first season as head coach at Slott. However, on Monday night, they were told that the celebrations had been cancelled.

According to media reports, the club said in an email, "We will continue to fully support emergency services and local authorities, and encourage employees to unite and support each other at this time."

In response, Liverpool Mayor Steve Rotheram said that there are still four injured people "seriously ill". Steve Rotheram said in an interview: "This incident on Water Street will leave people with very bad memories, and we must concentrate on dealing with it. There are four people in a very serious condition and we hope they can recover as soon as possible."
