Sancho confirmed that he had ended his loan period at Chelsea and returned to Manchester United, and the Blues Chelsea also had to pay Manchester United a penalty of 5 million pounds due to the decision not to exercise Sancho's buyout clause.
Jadon Sancho has been loaned to Chelsea last summer. The original lease contract also included a forced buyout clause of 25 million pounds. Some sources said that Chelsea was willing to exercise the buyout clause, but the premise is that Sancho, who now enjoys a weekly salary of 300,000 pounds, must accept a significant salary cut to meet the team's salary structure. However, Sancho's refusal to cut salary caused the negotiations to break down, so Chelsea needs to compensate Manchester United 5 million pounds according to the agreement.
After being unable to get on the "car" forever, Sancho wrote on his personal social media: "Thank you for this experience. I sincerely thank every friend of Chelsea, including teammates, staff and fans, who made me feel at home. I wish Chelsea all the best in the future. Thank you very much, thank you, the Blues."
Sancho represented Chelsea in 41 games in various competitions, contributing 5 goals and 10 assists. One of the goals was to score in the European Cup final in the mid-week last week, helping Chelsea win the championship with a 4-1 victory over Real Bedis.
Although Sancho and Chelsea's loan contract will not end until the 30th of this month, Sancho will not go to the Club World Cup with the team. During this period, they will wait for whether other players are willing to propose signings and acquisitions, and will still return to Manchester United to report before the season.
