Leverkusen striker Bonifers recently publicly admitted that his transfer to AC Milan's trade was eventually broken due to a historical knee injury. AC Milan had reached a lease-to-buy agreement with Leverkusen, and the buyout clause is scheduled to take effect in the summer of 2025. However, during the physical examination last week, the medical team questioned Bonifers' knee condition, resulting in the termination of the deal. Although the contract with Leverkusen lasted until June 2028, Bonifers has not yet obtained a chance to play in the new season.
