Barcelona is turning their attention to Premier League champion Liverpool, planning to introduce a striker this summer to be fully prepared for next season. According to Daily Sports, Barcelona's goal is Colombia international Luis Diaz.

This winger who once played for Porto, had excellent skills and strong breakthrough ability, has long been the focus of the Catalan giants. Against the backdrop of Barcelona's continued search for strengthening the front line, sports director Deco and the club's transfer team have shown strong interest in Diaz and have listed him as one of the priority signing candidates.

It is reported that the Red and Blue Army has formulated specific plans for the upcoming summer transfer window to introduce Diaz. "Decko is very optimistic about Louis Diaz. His transfer fee is expected to be around 80 million euros. If Barcelona can meet the relevant requirements of the FFP (FFP) this summer, they will make every effort to introduce the Colombian player to inject new vitality and high-quality breakthrough capabilities into the frontcourt."

In the 2024/25 season, Diaz, together with Salah and Garkepo, became the regular main players on the Liverpool's forward line. He made 34 appearances in the Premier League, contributing 13 goals and 7 assists, and was one of the important contributors to the Reds' successful championship.

Diaz, 27, has extremely high tactical flexibility, can be competent for the winger position on both sides, and can also reach the front end of the front line if necessary. This means that he can not only support Yamal and Rafinia on both wings like Ferran Torres, but also serve as a substitute firepower point in the middle, forming a rotation and even sharing the offensive responsibility with the growing Lewandowski.

As Barcelona hopes to rebuild a more competitive team in the new season, Diaz's joining may bring more creativity and impact to the team's frontcourt, and will further enrich coach Xavi's tactical choices.
