On October 31, AS reported that young player Jose Reyes Lopez renewed his contract with Real Madrid and continues to grow steadily in the club’s youth training system.
The 18-year-old player announced the news through his official Instagram account and expressed his joy at continuing to play for Los Blancos. Currently, Reyes is a member of Real Madrid's youth A team and has been performing very well at the Valdebebas training base. Since joining, he has won widespread praise for his excellent footwork, keen sense of goal and maturity beyond his years. Previously, he also played for Leganes’ echelons.
As one of the high-profile rising stars in Spanish youth football, Reyes shined in the Real Madrid U19 team coached by Julian Lopez de Lerma. His performance in the European Youth League (played against Atlanta in December last year) and the Honorary Youth League (scoring two goals in four games this season) was particularly outstanding, and he was highly recognized by the coaching staff.
This contract extension is not only the club’s recognition of its potential, but also an inheritance of the glorious history of the Reyes family. His father, Jose Antonio Reyes, left his mark at Sevilla, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. Today, the young Reyes is continuing this glory with humility and ambition.
According to the terms of the new contract (originally scheduled to run until 2027), Real Madrid once again demonstrated its support for local young talents. For Reyes, it is a new chapter in his career, moving towards the dream of one day representing the first team.
"It's a great honor to continue to be a member of this great family! Thank you Real Madrid for your trust!" he wrote on social media, along with a photo of himself in Valdebebas.
