On August 8, the Premier League Arsenal Football Club officially announced that it had completed a contract renewal with the team's youth training young midfielder Ethan Nvanelli. At the same time, Envanelli's youth training teammate Miles Lewis Skelly has also renewed his contract with the club, and the Gunners have successfully retained two highly-anticipated local stars this summer.

18-year-old Envanelli has made a total of 28 appearances in the Premier League since completing his first team debut in the 2022-23 season. Last season, his outstanding performance in the preseason won the trust of the coaching staff, especially during the injury of the team's core Bukayo Saka, who received more playing time, contributed to Arsenal's third consecutive Premier League runner-up. In addition, Envanelli also made 7 appearances in the Champions League last season, helping the team reach the semi-finals. Throughout the season, he has delivered 9 goals and 2 assists in various competitions.

Although Envaneli performed well, Arsenal's move to introduce winger Noni Maduaike from Chelsea this summer once triggered speculation about his future in the team. Faced with many uncertainties, the club and the players' team successfully reached an agreement last month to ensure that the talented teenager stayed in the team.

After renewing the contract, Envanelli expressed excitement: "Signing this contract means everything to me. I think this is my first season of becoming a member of the first team locker room in the sense of being a member of the first team and starting his career as an adult team. I am extremely excited about the contribution I can bring to the team. I am eager to help the team win as many honors as possible and bring happiness and glory to the club. Here I feel like home."

It is worth mentioning that youth training teammate Miles Lewis Skeley is also the one who made his mark at the same time as Envanelli. The young player played a major role in the left-back position last season. The successful renewal of the two marked an important progress in retaining and cultivating local youth training talents.

In the new season, Envanelli will change to wear the No. 22 jersey. Previously, the number belonged to goalkeeper David Raya, who will change to wear the No. 1 jersey in the new season. Nvanelli wore the No. 83, No. 63 and No. 53 jerseys in the first three seasons of Arsenal.
