According to Spanish media Real Madrid Confidencial, Real Madrid's new head coach Alonso is trying to use his relationship with his former club Liverpool to try to introduce Reds midfielder McAllister this summer.
McAllister only joined Liverpool in 2023, but given his outstanding performance, it is now one of Alonso's main goals for strengthening Real Madrid midfield.
Macalist's name has been linked to Real Madrid many times this season, and now, with Alonso coming to the Bernabeu in June, rumors about the introduction of the Argentine champion midfielder have once again become a hot topic.
26-year-old McAllister's technical talent and football IQ are top-notch. The Argentinian's ability to control the rhythm of the game, dribble the ball and score goals at critical moments are all urgently needed by Real Madrid today.
However, it is not easy to sign McAllister. The midfielder's existing contract with Liverpool will last until 2028. If you take a step back, even if Anfield is willing to discuss the deal, the price tag on it is not something Real Madrid can easily chew.
In addition, on another level of the story, Modric and Sebalus' future in Real Madrid will also directly affect the signing of any midfielder.
Modric is expected to renew his contract in the near future to ensure stability in the locker room. And Sebaslos' contract expires in 2027, and if Alonso can't provide him with a meaningful role next season, he's likely to seek to leave.
Real Madrid is currently paying close attention to the development of the situation, but an undeniable fact is that since Kroos retires, the White Army does need a midfield commander who can control the rhythm of the game and pass the ball.
