Hardlin, Timberwolves coach Finch talks about how severity he is in coaching Edwards after 2-1 Warriors

Chris Finch will never apologize for the severity of his coaching Anthony Edwards.
The Minnesota Timberwolves won away in Game 3 of the playoffs away to lead 2-1 on Saturday night. Anthony Edwards started relatively flat, but the superstar showed explosive power in the second half, scoring 36 points. After the game, head coach Chris Fincher candidly explain why he sometimes coached Edwards more vigorously than other players.
"I don't want (people) to feel like every video is like 'MF' (meaning training)," Finch said in an interview with The Athletic reporter Sam Amike.
"Not that. We didn't do that. It's not like old school, it's not like always yelling at the players. But we don't mind having the best players play more than the other players because they play time all the time, (and) they take care of all the shots. They're involved in all the moves, so they should take more responsibility accordingly."
Finch then explains how Edwards showed his leadership when interacting with young players on the team.
"What I see now is what I like very much. It is when young players, such as rookies, need to receive (strict guidance), they will be with them," Finch said. "What they got is insignificant compared to what Ant got, even when he was a rookie. So now, Ant is like an older brother, which is cool."
Finch recently publicly called on Edwards to perform better after the team's first game, which attracted attention. The Timberwolves have since won two straight wins. The Timberwolves have a big win, with the Timberwolves now having a chance to take a firm grip on the series in Game 4 Monday night. Of course, the biggest problem is that the Warriors have been missing superstar Stephen Curry since the hamstring injury in the second quarter of the first game.
This undoubtedly favors the Timberwolves' defense, as the Golden State Warriors' offense becomes cold in the last moment of Game 3.
Nevertheless, this should not hide the resilience Edwards showed in his epic second half, leading the Timberwolves to a victory.
