Hupu, August 3, Christian Falk, editor-in-chief of German Media Photo News, revealed Bayern's decision on the winger position in the "BayernInsider" podcast.

"They decided to offer an opportunity that Leonard Carl is now Michael Oris's main, preferred substitute on the right.

This doesn't sound like a major promotion, but considering Serge Gnabry can also play on the right, their commitment to the young player is quite impressive."

Carl has played for Bayern's U17 and U19 since the summer of 2022. His performance was impressive: between August and November 2024, he scored 23 goals and contributed 10 assists in just 14 games. In the first game of the Club World Cup group stage against Auckland City, Carl got a 45-minute professional football experience, and is expected to have more opportunities in the new season and more youth training time.
