Chris Eubank Jnr was sued by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) and Matchroom Boxing, owned by Eddie Hearn, for his blundering remarks in September this year at a press conference in preparation for Saturday's rematch.

At that time, Chris Eubank Jr. claimed that after the first fight, the ambulance he was riding in was deliberately delayed for more than 20 minutes by the staff of Arena Boxing Promotions at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. "They will do anything to win, trample on anyone, and break any rules," he fired in public. "In the last game, they tried every means to destroy me."

Last week, he posted a 10-second short video on social media: an ambulance was unable to move amid the chaotic crowd at the stadium. According to reporters, the congestion in the picture is purely a communication error within the stadium and has nothing to do with Eddie Hearn or committee secretary Robert Smith.

When he heard the accusations in September, Eddie Hearn responded directly: "There are complete records of the ambulances entering and exiting each game. We will never forget the dirty water he poured. Arena Boxing Promotions is a serious and fair company. Secretary, we'll see, we'll see you in court."
In fact, after Chris Eubank Jr. won the match by unanimous decision in 12 rounds, the entire journey from leaving the court to arriving at the Royal London Hospital, which was only 7 miles away from the stadium, took less than 45 minutes. The hospital diagnosed him with severe dehydration and facial laceration. He was discharged from the hospital on Monday, April 18, after stitches, two days after the game.

The first match between the two sides was originally scheduled for October 2022, but it was urgently suspended because Conor Benn tested positive for doping (clomiphene) twice. It wasn't until two and a half years later that Connor Benn was allowed to return to action in the UK. During this period, Chris Eubank Jr. used "drug testing" whenever he had the opportunity, and even hit Connor Benn in the face with an egg at the WBC hearing to mock Connor Benn's excuse that "eating too many eggs resulted in a positive drug test." For this, the committee issued a fine of £100,000.

In preparation for this competition, Chris Eubank Jr. almost fell into trouble with his weight again: he weighed 0.05 pounds over the standard before the competition, and was deducted approximately US$500,000 (375,000 pounds) according to his contract. Although he wore a weight-reducing suit and steamed in a sauna the next morning to press down to 170 pounds and pass the test, he was fined another 10,000 pounds for allegedly violating the "no use of sauna" regulations by publicly posting the video.

The second battle is still taking place at Tottenham Stadium, and the weight terms for the 12 rounds are the same as last time. Can Chris Eubank Jr. keep his mouth shut, hold his tongue, and then feel free to vent his anger in the ring? Let us all wait and see.
